Cargasm December Rain 2 show – Hussein Sastranegara Bandung

There’s something about Cargasm event that brings cars out of the garage works. It’s the one of the best event in Indonesia’s scene that drags cars out of the garage or home without compromising the quality of participants. No one the participants dreaming about achieving silly trophies of best A, best B, best C, until best Z then showing off his/her glorious victory from the cheap looking event then end up by getting a great exposure in all over media. This event was successfully held in Hussein Sastranegara airport on 26/12/15 last year. Things that we realized when we came down to the event that perfectly organized by Cargasm team, it’s about several cars cruised down from Jakarta, and other areas near West Java were interested in joining this event as well. Easy to say that this event has it’s own strengths that built by their good reputation and classy events so far. This series 3 of Cargasm December Rain for us personally is truly becoming the most wanted car show that all enthusiasts should be waiting for. Over 200 quality cars entered into this year’s event venue with hundreds of spectators walking around the showcase. So many cars wanted to floss before the event, so the organizers had to shut down registration early due to the given venue’s capacity. Besides the display cars, plenty of beautiful food truck vendors were on hand as well. We’ve highlighted some of the nice rides here, but remember to spend some times to visit @cargasm_id on Instagram for their upcoming event series. Cargasm present: December rain 2014

We confident to say that Cargasm meet up is one of the most interesting car enthusiasts gathering in Indonesia.  Automotive enthusiasts especially from Bandung-West Java gather for a day long and we know it was never a disappointment to be a part of this meet up. As a matter of fact the word is that Cargasm even saw an increase in attendees at this latest 2014 meet up. Perhaps you wondering how they were looks in our previous partnership called Breeze of Summer, you can click here to see more. Talk about end 2014, we surprised that receiving an invitation from Cargasm guys that they want to held their 11th meetup called by #decemberrain. The good things about this event were seemed to be more rousing because several automotive shops and others such as: JAP Wheel Clinic, Allriginal Wheels, F*ck Wheel Dude, 169 Autogarage, R-Kups vape, AutoMobile Bandung, Bandung Food Trucks, and Piston Project were happy to became a great sponsors and supporters for this event. At this meetup, Cargasm open their gate to all car enthusiasts to join with an extra IDR 150,000,- fee included tshirt, F&Bs, and some voucher from sponsors. Yes, there were a handful of JDM / USDM / Stance and Fitment style present, but there were certainly not as many as people on social networks knows how good the enthusiasts in Bandung. But honestly said, our biggest disappointment is the fact that we failed to join. Heck, our friend Ardie Pichaus cheers us with his coverages and successfully cured our dumps. We’ll be dropping a coverage throughout this glorious meet up today, and we hope you enjoy these next couple photos and maybe even get some inspiration for your future builds. Cargasm – Ladyonwheels present: Breeze of Summer

As many of you know, Cargasm, a group of automotive enthusiasts based in Bandung, West Java Indonesia held their latest awesome meet up together with us named by Breeze of Summer. You may have noticed that we have been posting more and more contents mostly from Jakarta area, but travelled to Bandung in last September will never be pointless. That’s because the Cargasm’s guys have been doing some big things and consistently creates some flawless cars in Indonesian automotive world now. Whether it’s a classics, stance and fitment, JDMs, or whatever it is, they successfully held a continuous killer events with great people too. We would like to say big thanks to all our friends from Cargasm for the tremendous support last time. Cant wait to see you guys in December then.

Focus to the fullest: Raka’s converted Ford Focus RS

Perfection can be seen to define and even more difficult to done with it. Regardless, most of Indonesian car enthusiasts find themselves on the journey to achieving perfection with their suitable theme or style that they want to achieved. In spite of the most condemning commentary from other enthusiasts, or event parents, sometimes online forums can offer we are often our own toughest comments. Luckily, the endless style of modifications offers the opportunity for continuous improvement in the pursuit of our own perfection. Ford Focus has been on their own destiny towards one of the best compact city car in Indonesia. Fans of the Ford Focus often joke at the odd nature of its you-hate-it-but-later-love-it car on this today’s platform model. Although opinions on styling vary it is tough to argue against the fact that the chassis has more rigid, the brand new features refined, and the Ford Focus RS model is the most powerful line up from this model. Raka Andhitio Brian, the owner of this fully transformed Focus RS, grew fond of the body style following the magnificent Ford Focus RS to his native 4-door Ford Focus. After purchasing the car new in last two years, Raka and his best friend from FA Garage set out on a quest for Ford Focus RS exterior transformation.

Can you ever truly achieve perfection? What does it actually mean to be perfect? And who exactly is the judge of it? People will spend their entire lives trying to chase after something they can’t or hard to achieve. Raka modified his Focus for his own liking, to be the best Ford Focus RS transformation on the street. People these days gain attention by losing respect, but I can say for a fact that Raka is far from that kind of person. He is a true believer of everything being about having fun, taking risks, and and execute any details with perfect action. 

It’s hard to know where to start when describing the all-new 301bhp Ford Focus RS that became Raka’s obsession to followed. In simple terms this is the second generation of a car which cost Ford an awful lot of money at the beginning of this century, but that also did lots to restore the public’s faith in the RS brand. In the raw the RS looks like a proper thug-mobile. From its gaping grille to its 19in wheels and tyres and enormous wing, the RS leaves you in no doubt about its intentions. The transformation began with bought some original parts including doors, fenders, and almost every parts of the original exterior from Ford Focus RS by helps from FA Garage, Bandung-Indoensia. The color of Raka’s Focus is super white paint that as though Raka trying to shown the perfection details of his works. It is a very dynamic and changes quite a bit depending on the light though. It’s basically a pretty suit versatile color; Works surprisingly well on a sports hatch, but I could also see it on any other sleek stance cars out there.

If size matters, this Ford Focus has got it made. Massive 19×9.5″ and 11″ Work Wheels shrouded in sticky Toyo tires sit at all four corners. The fender enlargement is fair enough on a based of Ford Focus RS and it takes large wheels to balance the look. The 19×11″ wheels look fantastic on the car, finding the right balance between just enough lip with just enough stance looks.

Raka is one of those individuals that sets a goal and then proceeds to kick ass accomplishing it. Not one to rest on his bed, his future plans for the car are already underway with complete engine swap from Ford Focus RS and another set of wider wheels, although these plans may take a time to execute. At the end of the day, we hope that you can build your car on your way and taste, but always remember why you’re doing it and keep it in that direction. Who knows, you may end up paving the way for others to follow.

 

To hell with the choice consequences: Yogi’s Honda Stream

In the Indonesian stance oriented scene, it is common to see a variety of different types of cars from mostly sedan sitting extremely low, hunkered down on a set of super wide new wheels or the memorable wheels like OZs, etc, with undersized and stretched tires, that rub almost constantly even when gliding even over perfectly smooth roads. In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with that. We personally love a great fitment with some jargon like “neck-breaking” within that cars and causes some normal people to shake their heads as disbelief reaction. But we also know that some portion of our friends, viewers, or visitors, including my self feel the opposite way, especially with a purposefully classy rare OEM modified like this Honda Stream. Well, some of you perhaps couldn’t see anything special or rare things in this mid MPV, I bet you all wrong guys. This what I called a perfection. Some men that I know really care about the rare OEM parts, but most of them felt that originality ain’t give you pride than a set of high price tag of exclusive wheels or aftermarket things. But to be honest, we do care and can’t wait to dig more about their experience when hunted down the rare items to be installed in their lovely car. If there ever was a perfect combination of irrefutable class, passion, and fitment, I would suggest this Yogi’s Honda Stream to be the example model for it.

If we talk about this mid MPV from Honda, personally said I really like this 7-seater car. It is a very comfortable car. If you are a family of four and on occasions have to transport some large items with, this car more than suit your needs. You can get a lot in it for sure. With four/five passengers, it isn’t as spacious in the luggage department as a Chevrolet or Mazda however as the rear seats take up more depth I think, but they are proper comfy seats. The load space is shallow (top to bottom) compared its competitors, but similar too many estates, but it is long, which is very useful.

The Honda Stream in Indonesia probably most of their usage are properly suit with the main purpose of Honda when made this platform. But for Yogi, his mind came with a lot of ideas that inspired with the JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) type of Stream in Japan. The exterior of this car was truly magnificent with the numerous parts from Japan version. Thanks to online interaction and media in internet to the JDM scene of Japan that has brought Yogi and his attention to find the alternative way for modified this lady on the right track. But as the stance enthusiast, Yogi felt that this Stream need to be lowered too. That was the interesting point when we saw Yogi’s car and we not found any reasons for not to respect his works on this beauty.

The naturally low, wide lines of Honda Stream have been amplified to fit Yogi’s tastes. Together with The Private Garage, a shop located on Bandung that gather together with Yogi to provides all the exterior things such as RN3-5 front bumper until the rear bumper itself. To maximized the front end look, Yogi installed the Stage 21 front lips and also the genuine JDM Honda Access Tailgate for RN1-3 facelift. Some exterior parts are carbonized too, such as: custom hood, side mirror, door garnish, bumper lists, and rear tailgate as well. And several parts substituted the original one flawlessly like the wiper blade and the JDM red emblem in front and rear too. Those installed items in exterior in my opinion are requisite items for a proper JDM enthusiast.

I have tried to drive my friend’s Stream couple months ago, basically The Stream’s engines need plenty of revs to give their best, but becoming very noisy in the process. They’re not coarse, though, and the cabin is quiet enough at motorway speeds, despite some wind and road noise. When I said in the beginning toward perfection word, Yogi has been remove the limitation of his mind to upgraded the engine of this car with Dastek Unichip Type Q as the piggyback to the ECU,Simota Carbon open filter and J’S Racing Muffler. From this three simple combination the drive impression of this car was back to normal. Perhaps I forgot to mention that at the rear of cabin was installed by simple audio system to accompany him when driving in Bandung’s street way. So the engine sector need to be upgraded bit to get well balanced power.

The lists of rare OEM parts of his modifications was too long to write up. But at first glance this car looks like it belongs to someone with plenty of prior knowledge and experience in terms of car modifications and a series of builds on their resume. Don’t get me wrong about Yogi being a humble-novice. This car was built with a clear-cut goal in mind and I personally feel he took the time and effort and made this a well planned and flawlessly executed plan.

To outfit his car with some nice shoes, Yogi called upon The Private Garage too to acquired his need, where at the end, he decided upon Enkei RPF1 type RC. Now there are very few things I love this Enkei with a subtle offsets, he chose to run with an appropriately wide 18×8.5″ and 18×9.5 in the rear. The mesh faces of the Enkei RPF1 type RC look very clean in silver paint especially with the major polished lips that surrounds the face. To brought Yogi achieving this fitment now, he installed only a H&R Lowering kit for this MPV to lower and stiffen the ride. Other suspension components such as Brembo disc brake and Project Miu coating Lug Nut to improve the quality of his suspension as well.

Of course, my personal favorite aspect of this Honda Stream is the interior. Easily visible with the clear window tint, the gorgeous Holy Recaro in interior quickly commands your attention. The Recaro Sport Artista sits beautifully with the carbonized interior trim of this Stream. With a heavy contrast to the deep black paint and Recaro interior components make the balance of this car is just right. The package comes together with flawless execution, absolutely wonderful. Beauty is found within.

So there you have it, Yogi’s concept of beauty and simplicity. For him, beauty is all about clean, slammed, and rare OEM parts in all the right places. It may not be the lowest thing on the road, but again it does have character; which is more than what can be said about a lot of cars out there today. This car would still get respect from us and that right there above is the recipe for a good build of this beauty. Perhaps many people said this car isn’t sparkled as other stance fellow, but we are not assuming when write this sentence down that this in one of the greatest Honda Stream that we have met so far.
