Sunshine, sunny weather, dusty place, speed – for many random people out there, that’s exactly what they think that those mentioned condition will be taken by men only. It could be wrong for our featured car this time, built a Honda Jazz GE8 and Toyota Starlet EP81 to take advantage of taking heat at the race track. “It was lowered a bit, fresh engine build, pretty rare wheels; it looked good but it was really fast for us,” they said. We personally tipped our hat to these ladies, Tasa and Fiza that took motorsports inside their blood in a right way. Originally, this two young ladies began their car history both with car that been gifted by their parents. We personally haven’t meet their parents yet, but we believe parents here holds the biggest influence why now we can see Tasa with her Honda Jazz GE8, and Fiza with her lovely Toyota Starlet EP82 Gi type converted.
Over the time, it has been no secret that Honda Jazz GE8 is one of the most popular platforms, and to be honest, it’s not hard to see why. Between the simple, yet aggressive body lines and the reliable performance that is delivered from its great L15A engine, they are never short of a great first impression to car enthusiasts from tucking into great fitment, until competing in numerous race events. Being able to enjoy having a fun daily that is sure to turn heads is quite a heart-warming feeling. One of these dynamic track duos has successfully recorded her best time in quarter mile at 15.5 second. It was pretty impressive as a young lady driver though.
Alwafi Auzan and Daniel Bram came to Sentul International Circuit (Indonesia) after they agreed to having some sort of photoshoots with Tasa and Fiza during their practice sessions that afternoon. Our guys find it really hard to explain how adorable these two ladies and their cars are in person. You simply cannot find enough justice in words or photos, not because their spent some money on some luxurious shiny stuffs to their arm or neck, but all their passion is only to treat their cars better than us. Surely most of you read this article had that type of feeling when riding in a car that just makes you think, “I want one.” From the sound of the K&N intake loping at idle, to the aggressive sound of an air intake funnel from Billion to force ambient air into the engine, I found myself wanting to build a simple daily-race-car for myself one day. But for now, I will keep my head in the clouds and hope one day I can also build something as pretty and bad ass as these two beauties, but I think the fact of owners impressed us more.
According to our personal opinion, the fourth-generation 80-series Starlet (the EP80 chassis code) that Fiza had, arrived in Indonesian market in early 90’s has became one of the most favorite mid-sedan. In contrast to the straight-edged appearance of its predecessor, the design of this EP81 Starlet featured a more rounded, friendly and nice flush-fitting appearance.
If you thought Fiza ended with only left this car with standard form, prepare yourself because the love that she shared on this car was not hit-or-miss action. Tasa carefully choose what the best for her best. Let us take you to a set of Work Rsz-r competition wheel. Forgive me the outmoded person, but I have never seen this wheels before. I don’t know how come that a young lady like girls here could have a very good taste on something beyond their ordinary passions. Basically toyota starlet EP81 is one of vehicle that is often overlooked by people because of the production of Honda SR3/EG6. But for sure, this is not an ordinary Starlet. Fiza wanted to ensure that she would easily stand out amongst men. Facing the many trials that were to come, she intended to build a reliable, yet wicked daily driver that is ready to get down in a straight line and on a road of course. However, to differs her appearance, Fiza facelifted her beauty onto Gi type version of EP81. She opted to keep the car sleek and simple with a hint of aggression. Dedicated to a street racing theme, as mentioned above, she picked up a rare set of 15×7 +35 Work Rsz-r competion, wrapped in some meaty 195/40 Toyo DRB. To aid the look and functionality of the car, Fiza wanted to lower it to a reasonable, but a functional height to be compete on quarter miles. So custom suspension were installed and put to work in addition to a couple of other goodies that keep her suspension snug enough.
If we see Tasa’s GE8 up here, we can see that the overall build would prove to be a race proven. Many of the components, especially the engine, are quite filled by numerous aftermarket racing parts and the ultimate 3 angle valve job to have better flow efficiency on her engine. Tasa changed a Kansai header with 4-1 configuration to achieved a top end power when she drive this car on quarter miles. The results? Like I said previously, 201m at 9.9 second, and 15.5 second for 402m race.
A comprehensive suspension setup from her garage made this car looks proportionally lowered. I am pretty sure that several chassis braces were added to make sure everything stays in line while she drive this GE8. A nice Enkei Tarmac, sized at 15×6.5 the white wheels look amazing on the white Honda Jazz, especially with a mighty Toyo R888 semi slick tire at front, and Achiless 123 slick at rear.
A comfortable Recaro SR3 seats were bought to keep her body in position. Oddly the seats look right when even she never left her red bear doll wherever she goes, matching the racing seats perfectly. Further interior upgrades are in the works she said.
A perfect classic Recaro LX were added to Fiza’s Starlet to gives even more impression when you sit down in her cabin. WHAT a great taste from a lady.
Lastly said, from the moment we landed and departed at Sentul International Circuit Indonesia, it was a whirlwind of fun and excitement. At the end of it, we met some rad lady owners during our session and honored to say that we glad to have friends like them. There is very few moments that happen that impact your life so much it changes the way you think and this was that moment for us though. We are pleased that has the opportunity to shoot two of the raddest ladies and hang out with them as well. After seeing the excitement and amazement on Tasa and Fiza’s face after seeing the photos that were captured over the week, made everything worth it to share with all of you. We just wanna show you how capable these two girls in this article. They were seeing something that some of guys nowadays protracted in need-to-be-popular situation rather than looking for something small-but-meaningful action.
